100% renewable electricity

Xperia 5 V is assembled in the plant that works by electricity generated 100% from renewable sources. Sony Group aims to achieve 100% renewable electricity use by 2030.

Meet our Original Blended Material

The Xperia 5 V's packaging uses Sony's Original Blended Material, which is made from bamboo, sugarcane fibres, and post-consumer recycled paper, all of which are readily available around the world's largest manufacturing hubs in Asia.

We're making packaging sustainable

As part of our sustainability drive, the Xperia 5 V packaging has eliminated plastic components or replaced them with paper materials0. We've also made the packaging slim and compact for more efficient transportation.

From enabling voice control to increasing text size, the Xperia 5 V includes a range of accessibility features, enabling anyone to communicate freely, whatever their individual needs.

Photography Pro helps everyone take better photos

With the latest Photography Pro, you can opt to have a sound played when your Xperia camera tilts to one side or the other. So, a person who is blind or has low vision can take a straight picture. We've also updated the User Interface to make it easier to use.
