This short video highlights the key design and hardware features of the Xperia 1 VI, with a light and energetic soundtrack. An animated logo turns into the full-screen caption “Zoom into Wonder.”, followed by a montage of shots of the back of the device floating over a light-coloured background, with a focus on the textured back panel and the camera design.
The shot pans down the side of the Xperia 1 VI, highlighting the ridged grip and dedicated shutter button. Another quick shot of the rear of the device transitions into an image of a stacked image sensor on a circuit board, with the Exmor T for mobile logo, then a close-up of the camera array to demonstrate the lenses: 16 mm Ultra wide, 24/48 mm Wide, and 85-170 mm Telephoto, using a graphic to demonstrate the folded optics used to achieve the new extended optical zoom.
Zooming into the lens and then back out, an image of expanding water ripples demonstrates the Full-stage stereo speakers. As the camera continues to zoom back from a shot of the device's screen in landscape orientation, ripples appear outward from the sides of the Xperia 1 VI to demonstrate the balanced and powerful stereo sound.
The shot transitions with a wave of water to a cropped angle of the rear of the Xperia 1 VI and a set of headphones. A cable connects to the top of the Xperia 1 VI with the caption “3.5 mm Audio jack”.
Cutting through glowing graphics of lines, and an image of a sunset, a device with a brightly glowing screen turns slows towards the viewer in landscape orientation, under the caption “Brightest Xperia display ever / 19.5:9 1-120Hz variable reflash rate / Powered by BRAVIA”.
A close-up shot of the textured rear panel transitions to a shot of three Xperia 1 VI, revealing the choice of “3 colours” (from left to right: Platinum Silver, Black, Khaki Green), along with the Tactile design and featuring Corning® Gorilla® Glass victus® 2 on the back. An overlay on one of the devices highlights that the “5,000 mAh battery lasts two days” (Based on the average use case of Xperia users, researched by Sony).
The image then cuts to a single device as it gradually comes into focus, with the caption “Water resistant” (Requires that all ports and covers are firmly closed. Dustproof certified to IEC 60529 IP6X standard, water resistant to IPX5 standard (protected against low-pressure jets of water from all practicable directions) and waterproof to IPX8 standard (can be kept under 1.50 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes) under controlled testing conditions. Do not expose to non-freshwater. Abuse and improper use of the device will invalidate the warranty.).
Drops of water float in front of the device and the image distorts through one of them to transition to a static shot of the Xperia 1 VI surrounded by call-out captions repeating each of the highlight hardware features.
The video closes with an animated image of the slim packaging, with the caption “Zero plastic packaging” (At the time of factory shipment. Packing refers to the individual product box, as well as components such as in-box trays, spacers, wraps and sleeves)
It ends with a short Xperia logo animation, a shot of the Xperia 1 VI range, and the animated Sony logo.
Finally, there is a close-up shot of the Xperia's rear panel and the Xperia and Sony animated logos.
