This video demonstrates the Battery care function available on the Xperia 1 V.
Graphical images of two batteries are pictured, with an Xperia battery on the left, and a conventional smartphone battery on the right.
Both batteries start at 100% charge, demonstrated with a green fill colour, then this drops to 35%.
Both batteries are then recharged, using a red colour. The Xperia battery charges, turning blue at 86%, then slowly reaches 100% under a title indicating “Adaptive Charging”. At the same time, the conventional battery charges fast all the way to 100% but remains red, with a title indicating it is “Overcharging”.
Each battery has a reduced capacity to recharge over a three-year lifespan, but the Xperia battery remains healthy and close to 100% of its original capacity, compared to the significantly-degraded conventional battery.
