How to find my lost Bluetooth headphones or earbuds with Find My Device

You can locate Bluetooth® devices with Find My Device technology and sometimes even emit sounds (unfortunately, this does not apply to headphones) within a short distance when connected to a compatible Android™ device.

For optimal performance, we suggest using the Google™ Find My Device app applicable to your smartphone. Check your product's Help Guide to verify compatibility.

How to find my lost headphones or earbuds

We've listed the general instructions. They may vary a little depending on the version of the app you use.

Android smartphones and tablets

1. Download the Find My Device app from the Google Play™ Store.
2. Turn on your Bluetooth device and pair it with your Android smartphone or tablet.
   • Note:   Pairing is required before opening the Find My Device app for location purposes
3. With the Bluetooth device powered on and paired, open the Find My Device app on your Android device.
4. If your Bluetooth headphones or earbuds support Find My technology, they will appear in the app.
5. Tap your device in the list.The app will find its location.
6. If the device is turned off after being located, the app will display its last known location
