A blank white screen is sometimes displayed when the TV enters Screen saver or Daydream.

    Screen saver or Daydream is turned ON by default.
    However, if the clock on BRAVIA TV does not match that of your Internet server, the TV cannot obtain pictures from the server, and a white screen is displayed instead.

    Follow the steps below to set a method for acquiring the time or to turn off Screen saver or Daydream.

    1. How to set a method for acquiring the time.
      When connected to the Internet:
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select Settings image Settings.
      3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Device PreferencesDate & timeAutomatic date & time — set to Enabled or Use network time.
          NOTE: If Device Preferences is not shown, select Date & time.
        • Select Date & timeAutomatic date & time — set to On, and then select Time synchronization — set to Use network-provided time.
          NOTE: Select Automatic date & time, and if Use network time is displayed, select that option.
      When not connected to the Internet:
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select Settings image Settings.
      3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Device PreferencesDate & timeAutomatic date & time — set to Enabled or Use broadcast time.
          NOTE: If Device Preferences is not shown, select Date & time.
        • Select Date & timeAutomatic date & time — set to Off, and then set the date and time manually.
          NOTE: Select Automatic date & time, and if Use broadcast time is displayed, the date and time can be adjusted using that setting.
    2. How to turn off Screen saver or Daydream.
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select Settings image Settings.
      3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Device PreferencesScreen saverScreen saverTurn screen off. (Android™ 9)
        • Select Screen saverScreen saver — set to Sleep. (Android 8.0 and Android 7.0)
        • Select DaydreamDaydream — set to Sleep or None. (Android 6.0 or earlier)
