How do I update pre-installed apps on Google TV™ or Android TV™ such as Netflix or YouTube™?
If the Google Play Store app is set to Auto-update apps at any time (default), apps that are pre-installed in the TV are generally updated automatically.
Check the settings using the following procedure.
- Open the
Settings screen. How to access Settings
- The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select Apps → See all apps → Google Play Store (under the SYSTEM APPS) → Open, move the cursor to the Profile icon on the upper right of the screen and select Settings → Auto-update apps → Auto-update apps at any time.
- Select
Apps → Google Play Store → Settings → Auto-update apps → Auto-update apps at any time.
- Select Google Play Store → Settings → Auto-update apps → Auto-update apps at any time.
