Support for eARC

By connecting your TV to an eARC supported audio system with an HDMI cable, high quality sound that the TV cannot normally decode by itself can be passed through the TV to the supported device.

NOTES:

• Some of the X80J / X81J series models do not support eARC. Please check the Sony Support website for the specifications of your model.
• Be sure to use a cable with Ethernet.
• The TV does not have a feature that displays whether it is connected to an audio system via eARC. To check it, play a source in which sound is output only when connected via eARC, such as DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD, and then check whether those audio formats are displayed on the audio system.
