How to tune or retune Sony LCD TV
IMPORTANT:
- This solution applies to BRAVIA TVs other than Google/Android TVs. To find out if your TV is Google TV™, Android TV™ or other BRAVIA TV, refer to How to check if your BRAVIA TV is a Google TV™, Android TV™, or other TV article.

- Depending on your TV model, slight differences between the layout of the remote control and the menu interface may occur.

Use the arrow buttons on your remote to navigate around the TV menu. | Select options by pressing the "plus" button. This is the round button in the centre of the circular Menu area of your remote. |
Analogue tuning

Press the [MENU] or [HOME] button of your remote controller.

Choose one of the options below that best matches the menu structure found on your TV:
Option A
Use the arrow buttons on your remote and select Settings → Analogue Setup → Analogue Auto Tuning.
Option B
Use the arrow buttons of your remote to select Settings → System Settings or Set-up → Channel set-up → Analogue Setup → Analogue Auto Tuning. - When asked "Do you want to start Auto Tuning?", select Yes.
The TV will now start tuning. A confirmation message will appear once completed.
Digital tuning

Press the [MENU] or [HOME] button of your remote controller.

Choose one of the options below that best matches the menu structure found on your TV:
Option A
Use the arrow buttons on your remote and select Settings → Digital set-up → Digital Auto Tuning.
Option B
Use the arrow buttons of your remote to select Settings → System Settings or Set-up → Channel set-up → Digital set-up → Digital Auto Tuning. -
When asked Do you want to start Auto Tuning?, select Yes or OK.

Make your selection between Antenna or Cable.
When selecting Antenna the auto tuning for Antenna starts at this point. -
If Cable was selected in the previous step, the menu for Cable tuning will now appear.
You may choose to set Scan Type, Frequency or Network ID manually according to specific network parameters, received from your broadcast provider.
If you have not received anything, we recommend to use the default settings:
Scan type: Quick scan
Frequency: Auto
Network ID: Auto
Operator: Select the name of your broadcast provider from the list
If the scan does not find any or all channels, you may try to change the Scan Type setting to Full scan.
IMPORTANT: It may take an hour, or longer, when selecting Full scan to tune your TV.
NOTE: If you have problems with the Cable tuning procedure, please check with your provider as they may use different settings. -
Proceed by selecting Start.
The TV will now start tuning. A confirmation message will appear once completed.
