What to do if there’s no sound in windows Vista while the VAIO computer resuming back from hibernation or sleep mode?

    • When the computer resumes from sleeping mode, there is a red × on the icon of volume in system tray area.
    • When the computer resumes from hibernation state, it makes no sound, and sometimes the internal modem cannot be used.
    For models with High Definition Audio (HDA) only.

    When a Windows Vista based computer resumes from hibernation or sleeping mode and restarts, the driver of High Definition Audio may not work.
    The drivers that cannot work may be the audio drive, internal modem or etc.
