INZONE Buds, INZONE headphones: There is unusual noise, the sound is distorted, or the sound skips when using a USB transceiver.
These audio issues may be caused by radio wave interference. Try the steps below depending on the connected device:
If the headphones are connected to a smartphone (INZONE Buds only)
- If your smartphone is in your clothes pocket, take it out and bring it closer to the headphones.
- If your smartphone is connected to the INZONE Buds and it's also connected to a Wi-Fi network, use the 5 GHz band.
- Keep the INZONE Buds away from electronic devices (e.g., smartphones other than the one connected to the INZONE Buds or Wi-Fi devices).
- If any electronic devices in the vicinity may be emitting interference, turn them off.
- Change the direction of the USB transceiver.
- Move any metal objects away from the transceiver.
If the headphones are connected to a computer
- Place the headphones and USB transceiver close together.
Hint: For the INZONE H5/H7/H9: Since the antenna is located inside the left side of the headphones, we recommend you connect the USB transceiver to the left side of the computer to improve communication between the antenna and transceiver.
The image below shows you the location of the antenna using the INZONE H9 model as an example.
- If the computer is connected to a Wi-Fi network, use the 5 GHz band.
- Keep the INZONE Buds away from any electronic devices that are not connected to them (e.g. smartphones, Wi-Fi devices, etc.).
- If any electronic devices in the vicinity may be emitting interference, turn them off.
- Connect the USB transceiver to a different USB port on the computer. For example, if the transceiver is connected to the back of a desktop computer, reconnect it to the front.
- To reduce radio interference from a desktop computer, try moving the USB transceiver away from the computer using a USB hub.
- Change the direction of the transceiver.
- Move any USB 3.0 devices or cables away from the transceiver.
- Remove all other USB devices and cables from the computer, if possible.
- Move any metal objects away from the transceiver.
- Close unnecessary software, or restart the computer.
- Disconnect the headphones and transceiver, and reconnect them again.
- Reset the headphones.
- Initialise the headphones.
Note: Initialisation returns the headphones to the factory settings and all Bluetooth pairing information is deleted. Perform the pairing again.
If the headphones are connected to a PlayStation®5
- Connect the USB transceiver to the front USB port of the PlayStation 5.
- Move any USB 3.0 devices or cables away from the transceiver.
- Move any metal objects away from the transceiver.
- Place the headphones and transceiver close together.
